Banquet of Champions!

This year has been a phenomenal one for Ridge Athletics. Right from the "get-go" our teams and student athletes have been successful at the highest level of competition in HSSAA (Halton Secondary Schools' Athletic Association) action, regional and provincial competition. Tonight we celebrate the achievements of our athletes and coaches at the annual Athletic Banquet sponsored by our Healthy Active Living Team. Having an excellent final week of student athletics, our athletes came fresh from both Halton and OFSSAA (Ontario Federation of School's Athletic Association) finals. Matt Vivolo and Jeremy Lee played on Centre Court at the Rexall Centre/York University where they finished 4th in OFSSAA competition. Both our boys' and girls' baseball teams won silver medals in the Halton Championships. Our Junior Boys' soccer team lost a heartbreaker to Loyola Secondary School 1-0 in Halton Finals competition.To perform so successfully for the full year and to finish so strong is an amazing accomplishment for our school. Special thanks to all of our coaches in 2011/12, congratulations to our talented student/athletes and special thanks to all of our students, staff and parent community who came out to support and cheer on our Trailblazers. When we look to 2012/13, the future remains bright for continued success for Ridge Athletics! Way to go everyone....you have represented our school with stellar athleticism, class, determination and pride!
